Glynn Compton Harper, author of Anchor Chain Books title Arise Beloved,  is a native of Texas and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. He is a veteran and spent several years in nuclear submarines before he was ordained an Episcopal priest. He served 28 years in parishes in California, Louisiana and Texas.
