Editing and
Manuscript Consultation Very few writers are sufficiently talented that their work
cannot be improved by a second pair of eyes: the reading and advice
from another experienced writer. Anchor Chain Books can provide this
service either in-house or by referring an interested writer to
independent expert help not directly affiliated with Anchor Chain
Books. Cost for these services is $1.55 per double-spaced page with
an average word count of 210 words per page. If in
our opinion the manuscript is not suitable for publication
without extensive re-writing and editing, we will return it without
charging for this judgement. Please query to edit@anchorchainbooks.com
with plot synopsis, total page count and an .rtf attachment of the
first three chapters. If we accept the manuscript for editing
purposes, we will provide instructions for submitting the complete
manuscript along with payment for our services. Please see
Submission Guidlines for details on manuscript submissioin.
Contracting for editing services from Anchor Chain Books does not
imply special consideration for publication by either Anchor
Chain Books or any other publisher.
Book Publishing Anchor Chain Books can provide assistance to
authors who are prepared to self-publish their work by providing
ISBN numbers, access to printing and distribution of their work and
advice and assistance in marketing their books once they are
published. Please query by email to Publishing@anchorchairbooks.com
providing total double-spaced page count. See Submissioni Guidelines
for details on manuscript submission.
Publication as an Anchor Chain
Book If a manuscript is
accepted for publication under the imprint of Anchor Chain Books, we
will provide the services usually expected of a publisher
including, formatting, cover illustration, printing, distribution
and marketing assistance. Because Anchor Chain Books is a small
publisher without the deep pockets of a major publisher, our
efforts, particularly in marketing) will be a partnership with
our writers who will be expected to assist in the
marketing of their works. We will be accepting queries
from writers for publication in November 2006
